Here are all of the things you need to know about the 2017 season.
Our first turf training session is on Wednesday March 1st 7:30pm. That gives us just less than 6 weeks to be fit and ready to go. This is just enough time to start to make meaningful fitness improvements if we really want to. We are staring formal preseason ‘movement’ session in the coming week. As people have a variety of outcomes in mind we will be tailoring these session so that people can be either as competitive or as relaxed as they would like. Also our players are geographically dispersed there is always the option of joining in via our Strava group.
Round 1 is on the 22nd/23rd of April (The week after Easter). Fixtures are not available yet.
In the leadup to turf training at Monash we will run a Wednesday fitness session at Monash as this is accessible to most players. In addition to this we will run a Monday hockey fitness focused session at Monash too and we are encouraging our players to bring out their yellow training tops for Saturday morning ‘Parkrun’ sessions. There are a number of these about, there should be one close to you and they are free.
